There is no denying Perth’s property market has seen better days with average sales figures the lowest they have been in over a decade.
The city’s property market might be at rock bottom — but for every downside, there’s always an up.
Real Estate Institute of WA president Hayden Groves doubts Perth’s property prices will ever be this low again.
“You can get a family home for less than $200,000 in certain areas, under certain circumstance, which is remarkable,” he said.
“Don’t be frightened of this market, this is a really good opportunity to buy.”
The number of properties that changed hands in the Perth metro area slumped almost 4.5 per cent in the past year — but some suburbs are bucking the trend.
